Dr. iur. Lukas Lezzi is a legal expert specializing in financial market regulation, data protection, and regulatory compliance. He completed his law degree at the University of Zurich and earned his doctorate with an in-depth research dissertation on the regulation and supervision of collective investment schemes for alternative investments. His dissertation was published in the *Schriften zum Finanzmarktrecht der Schweiz* and reflects his commitment to academic rigor and precise legal analysis.

He then worked at Schellenberg Wittmer, a leading Swiss business law firm. There, in addition to providing legal advice, he gained experience in project planning and management in the banking sector.

Dr. iur. Lukas Lezzi subsequently assumed the role of Chief Privacy Officer at SIX Group. In this role, he was responsible for developing and implementing data protection policies, ensuring compliance with legal standards, and managing data security risks. This position provided him with extensive expertise in data protection, compliance, and financial market regulation and deepened his practical understanding of the challenges in highly regulated environments.

Later, Dr. iur. Lukas Lezzi joined Meyerlustenberger Lachenal Froriep AG, where he worked on the Banking & Finance team as well as in the Regulatory, FinTech, and DLT practice areas. There, he advised clients on matters of financial, capital, and banking law, as well as collective investment law. His focus was on providing regulatory advice for innovative business models and assisting with licensing procedures before FINMA.

In addition to his law practice, Dr. iur. Lukas Lezzi is a lecturer on data protection at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW). In this role, he passes on his expertise to the next generation while keeping himself up to date on the latest developments in data protection law.
