Alexandra Egger studied law at the University of Lucerne and earned her Master of Law degree in 2012. In 2017, she also earned a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in In-House Counsel from the University of Zurich.

She joined the LezziLegal team in March 2025 as Legal Counsel, specializing in data protection and financial markets law. Her core responsibilities include, in particular, preparing well-reasoned legal opinions and writing expert articles on current data protection issues.

Prior to that, Alexandra Egger worked for nearly ten years as an in-house counsel at a major Swiss bank—including an assignment abroad in London. There, she was responsible for complex legal reviews related to global data processing and the implementation of the GDPR. She revised internal policies, drafted and negotiated contracts and legal documents such as service agreements and non-disclosure agreements, data sharing policies, and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), and conducted training sessions for employees on data protection and financial market compliance. In addition to the strategic development of internal processes, she led a legal team and worked closely with regulatory and audit bodies as well as project managers. She was also responsible for communicating with authorities such as FINMA and MAS and advised employees on insider trading laws, market conduct rules, information blackouts, and best practices in the context of capital market transactions.

She began her professional career at a law firm in Stans, where she handled cases in criminal, contract, labor, and family law and represented clients before the conciliation board. She later worked at the Kriens District Court. During her studies, she edited academic articles for the Swiss Lawyers’ Congress, conducted legal research for a law firm, and created flashcards for a publishing house.
